Chapter 27
The next day my neighbors dropped me off at school really early. I was so early Pikachu and Rainy had just gotten there and they arrive super early. Rainy held the door open for me and I walked over to my locker. Pikachu was at her locker, which is right next to mine.
"I've never been here so early." I said as I opened my locker. Pikachu gave me a look and I started to think she was mad at me, then she gave me a big smile.
"Then why are you here early today?" She asked me.
"Today my neighbor's dropped me off." I told her. "I don't know what to do."
"You just sit around the paw and do nothing." Pikachu said and closed her locker.
"Well see ya later." I closed my locker and walked away.
Later at sixth hour, I sat down next to Rainy.
"Ok David keeps on asking me something, why don't you tell them, David?" Mrs. Kemp asked.
"Uh, can we switch seats?" David asked.
"So today we are switching seats, will someone write 22 numbers on the board?" Mrs. Kemp asked and Ashely quickly raised her hand. Ashely wrote 22 numbers on the board, then Mrs. Kemp gave everyone a number. My number was 15. Sofi got number one and she got to be the first one to erase a number. She erased 21.
"David, your turn." Mrs. Kemp said and David got up and erased 16.
"Rainy, your turn." Mrs. Kemp said.
"Oh, I get it, if they erase your number, it's your turn to erase a number." Jeremy explained. Rainy erased 12. Sam erased 8. Jon erased 18. Pikachu stood up and walked by me.
"Pick 15." I whispered to her.
"Why?" She asked and smiled.
"Just do it." I smiled, she turned and stared at the board for a few seconds, then erased 15. I stood up and erased 6. Soon everyone erased a number and Mrs. Kemp announced where our new seat was. Pikachu sat at the biggest table with Sofi, Allyson, Lily, Jeremy, and Ellie. I sat at a table with Patrick, Annie, and Gianna. I was happy, I got a table with all my friends, but I felt bad, because Pikachu got a table with a lot of people she didn't like. She sat there quietly drawing while everyone else was talking and laughing.
