Its gorgeous moist petals reveal itself as spring has come,
Blooming beautifully- it is looking up to the golden sun.
A beautiful white rose that could not be missed by the human eye,
I will give this to my girlfriend- maybe she will have a surprise.
I can't wait to see the gorgeous smile on her face when I return home and give this to her,
Maybe this will help our shattering relationship- the cure?
I drive home making sure the rose is not damaged,
Hopefully this would lead to a family and marriage.
I arrive home and open the door,
The smile off my face when I see shattered glass on the floor.
"Amanda!" I yell, screaming her name,
What is this? Some kind of game?
I rush around the house to see all her belongings gone,
Mine scattered on the floor- tears will come soon it won't be long.
Reality hits me that she has had enough,
I can't cry- I loved her but I have to be tough.
I sit on my bed with the rose in my hand,
Picking the petals off- on the floor they land.
She loves me I say,
She loves me not- I don't want to live this day.
I go through all the petals until there are no more,
I burst out crying and fall to the floor,
She loves me not was the last petal,
Ever since then my broken heart has been built up to just solid metal.
