Finally Over

A small chat with your friends

To talk behind my back

I asked and you denied it

But your friends tell otherwise

With those few words you broke my trust

But I'm not ready to let go

I accidentally spelt your coffee

You yelled at me

I said I was sorry

But you just left me

You came back later to say your sorry

But when I looked in your eyes there was no guilt

With your actions I lost my hope in us

But I won't let go yet

I left early today for work

You were still asleep

So I let you lie there undisturbed

When I got home the lights were off

But you were still home

So I went inside to relax from a long day of work

I went to get my clothes for a shower

And in our bedroom you were not alone

Looks like you had a mistress under the covers

I pulled the sheets back

An to my luck I was right

Grabbing what I could I left

While you tried to reason with me to stay

With your transgression I lost my love for you

I finally learned I didn't love you

And now it's time to let go
