I don't get it? 😳

Some sort of reference to Twitter perhaps... ie when they set up Opuss they were expecting the world and all they got was people using Opuss as a Twitter substitute... Or I could be reading too much into it?.

Im baffled too..

It's the tag-line of 'Founder's fund' they have a website you can google.

Who?

They're a group who are

@blindsilence it seems to be a group who specialise in supporting technology start-ups. The quote reminds us that sci-fi promised us exciting things for the future like flying cars, but what the future actually brought us seems a little

more prosaic.

@Clairabethy that was my point.

Not related to this opuss, but it's a way of contacting you, @seamonster. I'm confused about the rankings, I don't seem to be on there. I have over 100 followers, and I seem to be lower ranking than someone who has 8 followers and no profile pic! Could you explain to me please?

@bop365 the ranking table is run nightly and is based mainly on the number of likes you have received (although there is a bit more to it than just that). I see you're back after a bit of a break. That's great! And now just watch how day by day you race up the charts!

@Seamonster ok, thank you very much! That explains a lot to my previously baffled mind!!

@Seamonster Please help! Opuss keeps crashing whenever I click 'compose'. I can't write anything!

@Seamonster Not really related to this Opuss but I've just accidentally reported something as spam when I was meaning to re post it but pressed wrong button. How do I undo it?

I need to contact you concerning a copied post

@sjw email us on support@opuss.com

Thank you ☺

I have a question about rating. I spent the weekend catching up on everyone's posts therefore I was reposting and liking a ton of work. I also wrote about 4 pieces over Sat and Sun. I went down two but Chy who hasn't posted anything in quite awhile went up. How did that happen?

@pikachu is being mean to me on my opusses comments @Seamonster can you block him from commenting on all my opusses please @Seamonster

@ckahn late answer I know but better late than never. If a lot of people are liking an authors work that can affect the rank regardless of how recently the work was authored. It's a complex algorithm all in all but I've tried to make it as fair as possible. Hope this sheds a little bit of light on it.

No sorry, as there are people with a higher rank than I with far fewer followers, and posts which don't have any more likes racked up than my posts.

My reposts are still very spotty. Typically, one out of every 5 reposts shows up on my husbands feed. Still kind of annoying and I'm wondering if that's effecting my rank. I just don't see how say someone with fewer followers, posts and likes on their posts can have a rating twice as high as mine. Strange

My reposts are still very spotty. Say I have 5 people repost a piece of mine, typically only one of those shows up in my husbands feed. Still kind of annoying.

@ckahn I'm completely baffled by both. I don't understand the ranking system one bit. I remember at one point I was being very active and dropped from 41 - 46, that's FIVE places, even after receiving many likes. Few days of inactivity later and I move up 3 ranks...what? And I noticed someone, forget his name, was ranked 27th for the longest time despite being inactive for almost 2 weeks and receiving no likes. @Seamonster Besides likes, what else contributes to rank?

Sorry for the rant, but its been bugging me for months. It just seems really inconsistent 😳
