To a place that's filled with trust.

To a place that's not so rough.
Change my path so near
Change my path, might just.
Change my life so clear
To a place?, can't see, its tough.
Tried to change my path for years,
Tried to change my path
But stuff....
Failed to Change my life.
From a place thats dark,
unjust.

Look in the mirror Hate what I see Ugly and jealous Looking at me. Hate that I hate What I see deep within When I should be content In my body and skin.
This irrational fear. It's time to get my arse into gear. Take it head on. And make this fear be gone. Maybe it is time. For family to hear my rhyme. And see how I express.

Now, from these eyes Stream rivers of broken Hymns, troubled thoughts And shattered dreams; Crippled soul shackled by The shadows of your falsity, Tormented with thorns of Deviousness and pretense.
I could lay here and pretend I'm sane. Cry out the lies I've given just like I have been everyday.
I often sit and think of the past, of who I used to be that girl used to have it all it was everything she could see.
A kind of 'Christmas Carol' adaptation.
@Codenameverity Yeah is a bit just about how I always try to change but always fall short. Hopefully the confusion came across well at the end. I love playing with words, I'm very new to poetry but already hooked.(-:

Beautiful. This is so good. (Ruff - noise a dog makes. Rough - somewhere/thing that's not smooth). Just saying incase you either publish this as I think your poems are that good!
@redfae Thank you for letting me know, I just changed the "fear" at the end to another "place" I think it fits better. I'm feeling in a positive mood for writing so there will be some more. I can go back to how I was feeling at different points in my life so luckily my story's wont be lost. (-:
