It’s time to pack away my broken past. To stop the pain from hurting me at last. Those memories, I don’t need them anymore. It’s time to lock them up behind the door.
I wrote this to my friend who had a harrowing past, and had never really spoken fully of it. I encouraged her to write a poem about it then burn it!. She did that and text me a copy.
And suddenly the world became a happier place. A proper smile grew on my face. All because of you and you. You and you and you and you. You may see me with a frown.
You found me broken and destroyed, A million different shattered pieces, Scattered all across the floor, And saw where all my pain releases.
A FRIEND IS A FRIEND. WELL BEYOND THE END. BECAUSE A FRIEND. LIVES IN THE HEART. AND IN THE SOUL. WHICH TURNS INTO. SWEET MEMORIES. WHEN YOU FALL APART. AND LOOSE CONTROL. A FRIEND IS A FRIEND.
Finally there is light. When for so long there's only been darkness in sight. Happiness is shining so bright. No fear, no fights. A heart almost whole. You've restored my soul.
I know what's going on Here I'm not going to live in fear Look forward to real life Not living by the knife Whatever I say and do Those who know me know I'm true Staying positive and upbeat Maybe Not...
A true friend is the one who picks you up when you fall,. A true friend is one that won't lie,,. A true friend is there when you call,. A true friend is there when you want to die,.
@patdolan83 Cheers buddy, this took bloody ages to write. I'm really struggling tonight. I might go to bed and wake up early and try again. I'm not happy with the flow of it. I bloody hate being so fussy😓
