Written in half sleep, this morning :) A thousand ways to take a mans life. A thousand ways you can tell a lie. A thousand ways to deliver the truth. A thousand ways to give up your youth.
To compare you to the reddest rose. Or the shiniest star. Or the whitest snow. Would not be fair. Would not be true. Their beauty pales. To the vision of you. To put your beauty down in words.
A look, a glance and my spirits are lifted. Safe arms around me. Soft lips to mine. Her love I am gifted. A burning desire. Souls reunited. Hearts beating together. Passion excited. Wonderful company.
You came into my life. When things seemed all trouble and strife. You are the reason I have a smile. As wide as a mile. You make me feel. Something other its unreal. You are so special to me.
When you smile my day becomes anew,. When you smile I forget I was ever feeling blue,. When you smile my spirits are lifted,. When you smile it’s like you’re gifted,. When you smile we become as one,.
Like butterflies cascading lines that draw across the sky printed boldly all over town striking the skyline down. It's you. It's me. It's all I'm thinking.
You are more than a flower,. A delicate rose. More than an itch on the tip of my nose. More than a whisper in the dead of night. More than the snow sparkling in the morning light.
Your lips fit mine. Like it was part of a grand design. And my hand fits yours. I'm glad I'm the one you chose. I know I'll never let you know. Just how much you mean to me.
