You were a thief,
That's what you were,
You stole my heart,
You were a saboteur.
You snuck into my life,
Made me fall for you,
Your plan clearly worked-
I didn't have a clue.
You'd take me out to dinner,
Walk me home at night,
Lend me your money,
Made me feel alright.
But then one day,
You didn't appear,
You simply vanished,
You were nowhere near.
My bank was empty,
My car keys were gone,
My cheque book was stolen,
Something was wrong.
I pieced up the puzzle,
Made sense of the mystery,
It was you, wasn't it?
Making my life a misery.
I was created into a puppet,
The strings pulled by you,
Why on Earth did I fall for it?
I should've thought it through.
