A deadly assassin,
Sweeping across the sky,
A streak of cobalt,
Starts to intensify.
The blackest of blacks,
Enveloping all life,
Tearing the sky,
With the sharpest of knives.
Pillars of lightning,
Shooting down,
Buckets of water,
Plummet to the ground.
South, it sails,
Swallowing the horizon,
Engulfs the trees-
Injects them with poison.

drip. drop. the rain lightly hits the grey worn out pavement. drip. drop. i look up at the sky and find rain clouds. a light, smokey, grey color that seems to mean no harm.
