MOONLIGHT DARKNESS CHAPTER 10

Chapter 10
“You guys look awful, no offense” Said one of the angels, his name was Jonathan. We had landed in the middle of some desert in America. It was better than nothing, I guess, but it was really hot and I was dehydrating fast.
“Thanks, we know” Matthew replied.
“I could take you guys to my house, if you would like to rest and have something to eat” Jonathan said. Matthew looked at me.
“I think we should go home. Thank you for your offer though”
“Anytime, but matt, Can I speak to you for a second?”
“Sure. I can’t leave her though so please use the mind-speak” I stood there for a second and suddenly I began to hear quiet voices in my head.
Don’t blame her for this. I’m the one who fell in love with her. One voice said. I knew exactly what was happening, I could hear the mind-speak. Did they know I was listening?
She fell in love with you to, you know what will happened, don’t you?
I do and I know but you can’t seriously be asking me to back away from her.
It’s all I can ask.
I cannot do that.
Why not?
Because I feel nothing without her
Give it up Matthew, she’s human. Just do the job you are told to do, but do it from afar.
Never.
Fine, but if you continue with this the demons won’t just want her…
“Anyway, I’m sure you must be going” Jonathan said, giving his best smile.
“We must” Matthew replied and we flew off…
Matthew and I arrived at my old house. It was pitch black, must have been midnight. Why were we here? Did he take any of what Jonathan said seriously? Please no. He can’t leave me now.
“Matthew why are we here?”
“I-” I didn’t let him finish.
“I don’t want to live without you” I said backing up against a tree.
“You heard didn’t you?” He asked
“Yes”
“Good because I’m doing the exact opposite of what he told me to do” I looked at Matthew confused. “I’m going rogue. If I’m not allowed to have a life with you, as an angel then I want to give up being an angel” I was in shock.
“I don’t know what to say”
“Go in there with me and tell your parents everything. Tell them you can’t come back and that you love them” I nodded. “Oh and before we go in there let me tell you something. I will go to the end of the universe for you. Don’t think I’m leaving you, ever” He pushed me against the tree and kissed me hard.
“Ok…” I replied, breathless and in shock.
“Let’s go in” He said smiling
“Yes”
