Often forgotten you are
Hidden in the skies dark
The beautiful back star
You still have such a spark

Your the brightest sky in the sky
Your the star I wish upon
They are blind I don't know why
You don't need to shine like the sun

So hidden among the dark night
And yet you still brightly shine
You're not hidden from my sight
You're forever immortal in time

You're the star I wish upon
When I gaze up at the starry skies
You never leave you're never gone
The black star never that never lies

There may be many stars up there
But your the one who stands out
That's why my eyes at you stare
Because I know your always about

You can remain hidden away
They will see you enough soon
As bright as the summer day
You could even outshine the moon

If you choose to stay in the dark
You're the star I still wish upon
You still have a place in my heart
