Pounding heart. Syringe in my sweaty hand. I close the elevator gate, no turing back now. It starts up with a creak and begins rattling its way down the dim shaft. The light grows fainter, the air more cold until the elevator comes to a screeching halt in complete darkness. Turning on my flashlight in one hand, syringe in the other I step out into the eerie silence, scanning the area. There appears to be one tunnel to the left and no others, so I take that tunnel hoping its the right path, my footsteps silent. My heart beats faster, I think it will burst. A shiver runs down my spine, from the cold? I flash a beam of light behind me. Nothing, guess it was just the cold, but I quicken my pace just in case.I feel like I have been walking forever, was this the wrong way? Did it ever end? My thoughts are cut off. A light glows up head somewhere, a hazy luminescent. I turn off my flashlight and creep cautiously toward it. As I get closer the walls get less tight. Until I find myself at the mouth of a gloomy cavern. Someone sees me before I see them. A girl breaks from the shadows, her clothes once a probably beautiful expensive dress is dirty and torn. Ripped shreds really. Half a tiara, old and corroded sits in her messy tangled hair. As she makes her way towards me I hide the syringe behind my back. "Hello", she says goodheartedly. Now that she's closer I can see her face clearly. It's caked with grime just like her clothes, and a scar runs along her face. She looks fragile and unnourished, but surprisingly strong and cheerful as she takes my hand and leads me through a metal door into another cavern.
Any good?
