Take Me Back

Take me back to those days
When we had no cares
Life was one big adventure
We weren't bothered by people's lingering stares

The highlight of the day was break time
Although I suppose this much is still true
You were not fazed by things like the weather
Back then every day seemed like the sky were blue

Take me back to such innocence
Laughter and joy
Without the pain

Take me back to such happy times
Playful and free
We knew not of any crimes

In this grown up world
It's all far to complicated
And there is to much to stress out
Take me back to my childhood
Where the biggest issue was if your mum would let you out

Coffee Table Stage

The sunset shone a reddish gold. Upon two girls, just eight years old. They twirled and spun, they sang and danced. Lost within a youthful trance. A coffee table was their stage.
