100 Favourite Things

Men and women have forged and fought through all human time to improve their life. A few have have gone beyond that and battled selflessly and courageously against all odds to improve the lot of all mankind.

Whether this be a battle for freedom, free speech, a vote, abolishing slavery,tyranny, oppression, religious freedom, the right to land, possessions, civil rights, democracy, taxation or even the right to have sex with person of the same gender, the list goes on and on.

These are the bravest of our ancestors through all of human time who made our world what it is with little care of their own existence but fought from their soul whether with pen or sword.

Consequence of life or death for their beliefs were often of little significance. Of course the same fight goes on today and never ends in parts of the world like Syria. Not to mention the shortages of freedom in Russia, China , North Korea and many parts of the Middle East to mention but a few.

So while your busy writing your 100 favourite things spare a thought for the millions of dead and living who have died and fought on your behalf for that freedom to live your life for you to do what the fuck you want.
