There's a wall that we all know
It's been here for centuries and I fear it will never be broken down
At least not in my lifetime
It's a barrier to equality
Walls that separate us and our beliefs
Walls that stop us believing we are ultimately the same
No matter your age, colour, sex, ability or faith we are all made of flesh and bone
No one is better than the other
The walls over time gradually crumble, history has shown us that But again they are rebuilt by a law, war, an interpretation of faith or hatred and ignorance
How can I teach my children equality, if the barriers still exist in society
Intolerance and injustice always around the corner, taking away from the joys of life
A wall that causes suffering, torture and heartache
Children are not born with it it is learnt
That wall is called prejudice
It has no place in my heart
This is my 200th post. I can't believe it!
