So day 3 comes. I did the usual 10 grateful things in the morning and the greatest thing at night which i will be doing til i end the book... As ordered.
For this chapter i had to pick 3 people whom i have pictures off and write down 5 things i am most grateful for with them. Then througout the day im supposed to look at their pictures at least 3 times and say THANK YOU and mention their name.
I chose my mom, a friend who gave me this book and another friend. Since i felt stupid carrying their picture around saying thank you to it while i go through my day, I just took it a step further. I just texted each one of them throughout my day thanking them for different reasons.
Im not a sweet person. Im not like those family lovey dovey people who are sweet and cuddly, as much as i want to be like those happy family lovey sweet people... Im not.
Taking this assignment to the next level by actually texting the 3 people and telling them the reasons im grateful for them actually worked better. I was able to thank my mom for numerous things and trust me, my mom and i arent sweet huggy people, we arent the showy affectionate type, so this was a huge leap for me. I was able to tell my friends how grateful for them i was as well. At the end of the day everyone happy i guess.
I just noticed that for this book to work i MUST feel the gratefulness and gratitude. I cant just do the assignments i have to feel it. At first i felt like i was crazy and losing my mind for doing this but later on i actually felt it working. Hmmm this looks like its going to work!
