Under Eaves

On the porch
Winter night
Feels like springtime's
Evening light
Dusk has fallen
All gray-blue
A white and shining
Cresent moon
A cricket chirping
Far off clangs
Of dairy-yard gates
In metal frames
A single star
In twilit sky
A single wish
Gleams in my eye
Wisps of clouds
Of grayish hue
In the near-night
Still show through
While at horizon
Hints of glow
Slowly vanish
Last to go
Distant hills
In line of sight
Look vast and daring
In the night
Baby's breath clusters
Near my head
A delicate scent
Carries me to bed
Sweet dreams I'll have
Beneath night sky
Between cold stars
And dark countryside

*An evening hour spent in my backyard has brought me many poems, more to come soon. :)

To See The Sea

Whilst I lay in bed, inside my little caravan by the sea. Sometimes the sea likes to speak to me. It's as if a thousand lions. Have been devoured by the sea.

Serenity Of The Sea

The sun took my hand. Led me to the sand. The waters edge was close. The blue tickled my toes. My toes curled up. Not much...just enough. A little bit playfully. With the kiss of the sea.

Poppy

Challenge set by@eddie12309. I saw this beautiful poppy. Bent down to see it close. I love the fragility of its petals. Almost see through like a ghost. The sweet smell of poppies.
