Monkey On A Stick

When you said you were coming up
I knew the drink would flow
Went to watch the fireworks
It was a real good show

Watched them from the terrace bar
Overlooking the castle grounds
They were so beautiful
With really loud boom sounds

We had a few glasses
Whilst we watched the show
Then made our way to the vodka bar
In the street below

There was a long old menu
We ordered cocktails from
After several of them
We ordered Yeager bombs

We hadn't finished yet
The white lion we did pick
Left there with Fancy straws
And a monkey on a stick?

Still we soldiered on
Live music in the boot
Only had the one in there
The drinks cost too much loot

Went along to the next pub
It was only next door
The disco played good music
So we hit the dance floor

In the mood for dancing now
We moved to the silk kite
Omg it felt so good
To dance and dance all night

At last the evenings over
Our feet are feeling sore
Got a curry to take home
Where we danced some more

The curry is all eaten
And the vodka is no more
Time for bed my friends
It's now half past four

Thank you for this evening
I had so much fun
It felt so good to laugh and dance
As friends you're number one
