Looking at the top listings here, most seem to be for Opusses that are one sentence long. Some of these are along the 'I'm eating Chips' lines, with presumably lots of 'likes' for the chips, rather than for the superb literary style of the author.
So, I wonder this... As Twitter exists for the burst of micro-bloggers, should a future app release possibly have 'top short Opusses' and 'top long Opusses' sections, to give everyone a fair chance of getting noticed, followed and commented?
I have no issues with the microbloggers' snappy one-liners, as I find them very entertaining, but I do worry that, as time goes on, and more users arrive, Opuss will become more and more like Twitter, with creative bloggers, and indeed equally creative microbloggers, losing out to one-liners copied from the Internet.
I have resolved to 'like' any creative and longer-text posts as much as I 'like' the short ones.
Please let's all continue to reward and encourage creativity here, as most seem to do, so that we keep this wonderful app and even more wonderful concept alive and kicking. There are writers on here of all ages who have got me checking every chance I have for their next Opuss. That's a thing to treasure.
