Why must it insist to take claim of my days
Throbbing, aching, swollen, sore
Can my poor body take much more
Chronic intruder messing with my mind
Nights of insomnia, no sleep to find
This illness attacks in day and in night
But still I smile, won't give up the fight
Love and strength it flows from God omniscient
Helping me through with Grace sufficient
