The fall is flung with hued delight,
hung on trees in shivered night.
Born upon the snap of cold
To greet the dawn
With autum's gold
The trees now draped in fine new wear
Sway with pride at beauty rare.
Natures tapestry
A brief delight
With gusty days too soon in flight
Rich tones that dance upon the breeze
Are snapped from branch with windswept ease.
Disrobed trees,
Now caught confound
Gaze at their finery upon the ground.
Bare branched they bide through frigid nights
To adorn anew for springs invite.
