My Home

Listen carefully,
Can you hear it?
The wind blowing lazily through the trees,
Calling out your name.
The crickets and coquis chirping,
Looking for someone to join their melodious song.

Look closely,
Can you see it?
The lights twinkling in the distance,
rivaling the bright stars above.
The magic flowing from the ground,
exploding everything in color,
so even the water glows.

Stay still,
Can you feel it?
The water tickling your feet,
beckoning for you to join it.
The wind caressing you,
comforting you with it's simple yet gentle touch.
The tugging of the ties,
Holding it forever close to my heart.

Ecstasy

Out on the rock I spread my arms The sea and the world Beneath me Urged on by cliffs You said something But the wind Laughed too loud In my ears and playfully Hid my breath from me.
