We all have bad days
When our colours change from yellow to blue
We say "I'm ok"
But deep inside you know it's just not true

There's a dark cloud raining over you
With shades of black and grey
An inexplicable feeling
That sometimes won't go away

That's when you need a friend
Patterned with years of understanding
To keep you close and hug you tight
That theres no use in pretending.

They know that the look in your eyes
A hollow shade of empty green
They know when you say "ok"
Things are not all that they seem

A friend can't take away the shadows
But they'll help you through somehow
With love and understanding
And a "Cheer up you moody cow!"
