I thought at one point today I was going to have to visit the CBA Club™ hosted by Mr Grrrrrfoot himself and the lovely missDHP, as my beautiful daughter thought it would be a good idea in the pool changing cubicle to sit on my favourite sunglasses and break them ( yes I do own many, as well as a boot fetish I also have a penchant for jackets, coats and sunglasses). So needless to say I was quite grumpy while walking to the High Street afterwards. But the sun was shining, there was a slight autumn chill, candy floss clouds paraded in the sky and all was well. The college bells rang out as usual at 12 noon as I made my way pushing my little vandal in her pram.
It wasn't a smell, nor a sound that caught my attention and made me reminisce, but a sight. A truly rare sight blasting me straight back to the 80's. For you young 'uns out there you won't have a clue what I'm talking about. But there it was in all it's silver, DMC, gull winged door glory... a Delorean! I suddenly wanted to don an American college jacket, sneakers, climb the nearest clock tower and skateboard down the street. I went all 1980's/1990's thinking of all the really cool (now very cheesy) films I went to see at the pictures : Footloose, Ghostbusters, Teenwolf, Mannequin. Ahh, those were the good old days, or were they? Would I want to go back in time to my teenage years? I loved them, and was a rebel without a clue, but no thanks. The music was good but the hair and clothes were awful, it wasn't until my late twenties I got my colour license for clothes.
But it also got me thinking, if I were to go back in time where would I want to go? I love history with a passion, but there is one era which fascinates me the most and that's the Victorian age. That's where I would like to go, to experience it all, the industrial revolution, women's vote, the clothes, the innovation, the architecture, and the gruesome mysterious murders. I would wander around unnoticed, observing, understanding and appreciating it all, but I would like to have 21st century sanitation when the need arose.
I wonder what era you would like to go to if you could time travel or would you like to go back to the future in the Delorean?
It's good to reminisce.....

Awesome! A delorean! Hey McFly!!! Well, I'm obsessed with Led Zeppelin and 70's rock, and I'm a flower child at heart so is have to say the 60's and/or 70's - not very far back I know, but still. 😍 I could wear my flares without getting odd looks for not wearing skinny jeans like everyone else ☺
@Irrational_Kimmi hey rock chick. Inline the doors and Hendrix but I'm not sure if I could cope with the 70's again. 😱 cheers for repost 👍
@eddie12309 hehe I'd like to have been old enough to remember the 80's too...I guess I don't want to go back but rather be born 25 years earlier 😉
Fabbo, same with @Irrational_Kimmi I would like to experience the 60's or go back to ancient civilisations or witch burning times just to experience ❤😘
I had tickets to see The Beatles in '63 but was hospitalised - bummer! So I'd like to go back to see them at the Cavern before they made it big. 🎸🎤🎵
@eddie12309 terribly, but I would like to go there to witness what false accusations they made against them, along with the Tudor period 😍😄😘
I love disco, so yeah 70s Or like you Victorian England I would like to have seen The Great Exhibition 😘
@minxyMolly oh yes it was a toss up between the tudors, Eluzabetth 1 or henry but only if he looked like the bloke on the Tudors. or victorians,
@sjw yes that would have been quite something. 👍 my sisters era was the 70's, eek, she used to make me practice Bee Gee moves with her. Lol
@eddie12309 if he looked like he did on Tudors I would go there purely for that reason and personally go see mr Charles Brandon 😍😄
