When I get home I check my phone. I have one new message.
Josh:
Meet me by the lake at 12:30 please??
Hmm. I don't have anything to do tonight do I guess I can.
"Okay smiley face," I mutter to myself.
I don't know why, but I sometimes say what I'm texting to someone out loud. Anyways it's about eleven o'clock, so I guess I have some time to do what I want. I go up to my room and grab my guitar. I normally play Taylor Swift songs. I get out the song Love Story and then start to play it. I sing along. I'm actually pretty good. I finish the song and then put my guitar away.
What else can I do to waste time? I pace back and forth. I almost fall over when the loud doorbell rings! I rush downstairs and over to the door. I slowly opened it and before I know it something smacks into my face. I scream. The person who did it runs away, but I can't tell who it is because they have a ski mask on. I touch my face an feel fluffy stuff on it. I look down and a pie carton is sitting face down. "Who did this?" I whisper to myself.
Oh, yeah, I know who. Cassie. Who else? Why can't she just get over the fact that her boyfriend doesn't like her anymore?! I turn around and see Justin starring at me. Once he sees my face he start cracking up. I pick up the pie carton. I smear my fingers in it and go up to Justin and smudge it all over his face.
"That's better," I say.
He stares at me in disbelief. I turn and then walk upstairs. I go straight to the bathroom to wash this stuff off my face.
I've had enough with all this drama. I mean seriously?! Cassie is just jealous because her ex boyfriend likes me and quite frankly I don't even like him back! She's also jealous that me and Josh hang out a lot. It's probably just because she likes him, but she doesn't have to go all psycho. I finish up washing off my face and then grab a towel to dry it. I then go back downstairs and Justin is about to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"To the mall, but you can't come."
"Okay."
I let out a deep sigh. The mall sounds fun right now. Maybe another time. I check the time. It's 11:43. Forty seven more minutes until its time to go.
