Chapter 9

The last bell rings and I jump out of my seat. I run over to my locker. I put in the combo and open it up. I snatch my backpack out and stuff my books in it. My backpack is so heavy! Now all I have to do is wait for Josh. What's taking him do long? He should be here by now. Maybe a teacher is holding him up. I wait a few minutes. When he doesn't show up after five minutes of waiting, I just leave. I go over to the two front doors and walk outside. I walk home alone. I'm probably going to be doing this a lot. I seriously hate Cassie. She has to ruin my I know exactly what she is trying to do. She wants it so I can't speak to Josh. I walk up to my house and run over to the front door. I go inside.
"How was school honey?"
"Fine," I say angrily.
I dash upstairs and go into my room. I flop onto my bed and just lye there.
My phones buzzes but I just ignore it because I know it's Josh. I just don't want to talk to him at the moment. I stuff my face into my pillow and just stay like that. My phone wont stop buzzing! I grab it and read through all the texts.
Josh:
Hey. Sorry I didn't show up, Cassie needed me.

Josh:
Hello?

Josh:
I'm sorry!

Josh:
Can we just talk about this?

Josh:
Please??

Josh:
Hello???

Josh:
Hey. Your probably not going to reply but can you just meet me bye the lake tonight at 7?? Please? We need to talk.

I reply with a k. I better start my homework. I open up my book bag and take out all my homework. I try to complete it but my mind keeps wondering back to Josh. What if him and Cassie start dating?! He'd probably ignore me. I'd be worth nothing anymore. I let out a long sigh. I guess all I am to him is the girl next door. Do I really like him this much? Why do I even care? My mind is spinning around in circles. Oh Josh. If you only knew how much I like you.
