Remember me the way I was.
Remember my sunshine, remember my crashing waves and endlessly stretching sandy beaches. Remember me as I was and the memories made across me.
Remember the taste of sweet grapes as the first bell chimes in the new year. The vibrations in the floor from the music you used to dance to, the sting of sand being shot at your face by the wind and the sound of your flip-flops hitting the rough pavement whilst laughing with Sara and Erick.
Do you remember?
Remember the endless hours spent at the shoreline on the small stretch of sand that you called your own that I sheltered from the rest of the world, whilst you rested on my golden skin with your friends.
Remember my small side streets you used to manoeuvre through at such speed on your bike, racing the traffic, skidding round my corners and almost loosing control.
Remember my places only you knew about, remember the quiet of those places and the feelings felt there. The places you would run to and clear your head of anger and sadness.
Remember me as I was and all that you had there because It cannot be replaced or sustained in complete as I was in your memory, for I am forever changing in this world and will soon die.
So remember me.
