Not Meant To Be Friends

I had no other option but to face it,
Realize that your heart- I had misplaced it.

I could pick myself up, smile and not show it,
but I fall for her every minute and she doesn't even know it.

I believe I lost her,
My "X" never marked the spot,
She asked if I lied, that day, our love died,
And I, i missed my last shot.

She cries, and I cry,
For two different cares.
I just never thought I'd let my fragile heart be shared.

This'll never be a lesson learned,
I know I'll love once again.
And the second time I'll prove to you we weren't meant to be, just friends.
