The reindeers pulled the sledge effortlessly through the thick snow
The forest was dense dark and silent
I didn't know where we would go
But I didn't care I just enjoyed the silence and peace
Sky's tinged blue,red and green
the start of the northern lights it would seem
It was the first time in my life I had felt with nature at one
Nothing mattered out here troubles vanished and gone
Lights dancing in the sky, snowdrops falling
Could stay here forever, for this place I was falling
If I close my eyes now I can almost be there
Such beauty and magic everywhere.

Stunning imagery. I've been fortunate enough to travel to the arctic circle twice, but on both occasions the Aurora Borealis have eluded me😔 All the same, it was wonderful, & as you say, the silence as you crunch through breathtaking landscape is almost ethereal😌 (not so great when the huskies take a dump, but fortunately, I was driving & my chap felt the force! 😂😂)
