In a dark night brightly,
Shone a girl walking slow,
Her face radiant in moonlight,
But her feet nowhere to go.
In a dark night brightly,
Pulsed a heart, glowing true,
It's owner holding it gently,
Keeping it safe, safe for you.
In a dark night brightly,
Twinkled possibilities vast,
But this girl cannot see them,
She looks back only to her past.
And now, in a dark night brightly,
I see a crowd such as she,
And the one thing in common,
Is that they do shine, shine brightly.
I wish they would, at times, see.
