You Decide The End

There's a battle on,
Between heart and mind,
Within the soul,
Resides this bind.

The heart is risky,
Aggressive as well,
Will it win?
It's hard to tell.

The mind is calm,
Sensible and safe,
Trying hard to teach,
The heart it's place.

The heart is daring,
Pushing on,
Just talk to her,
What could go wrong?

But the mind says "no",
Don't do it yet,
She's not looking at you,
The stage ain't set.

"But she'll say yes",
The heart retorts,
She'll like you anyway,
So just try all sorts.

"No she won't",
The mind replies,
You've only known her two years,
("And zip up your flies").
