When do we need solace,
When for it do we seek?
When we are angry,
Or tired, sore and weak?
Seeking solace isn't easy,
Not when we are so proud.
Our hearts will not let us;
Solace not allowed.
From whom do we seek it,
Is it family or is it friends?
Who is it we turn to,
Hoping our misery ends?
Seeking solace requires reaching out,
To others outside of us.
But don't we always worry
That we're thought to make a fuss?
Those who know you deeply.
Those who know you well,
Would offer you solace
Even at the gates of hell.
You never are truly alone
When others share your pain.
So please keep seeking solace
And become whole once again.
