21st Century Life

Sometimes I wish I was born into an amazon tribe or I could be a Tibetan monk. I want a simple life cut off from the 21st century. There's too many rules controlling us, you can't do this, you have to do that. I hate how material the world has become, it's all about money and things we want. I'd be quite happy in the middle of the amazon in a tribe just hunting for food, not having to think or worry about all the complicated stuff in this 21st Century life.

Doing Nothing

I write with white ink on white paper. I speak with my lips firmly shut. I strum on my stringless guitar. I read from an unwritten book. I think without aim or direction.

Who made this garden. I ask myself. I want it at my house. The checkout stand reminds me what I can not live without with glossy magazines on racks, seductively displayed.

It would be simpler definitely. Easier, probably not.

I have always thought the same thing, although I think I may have left it rather late to actually do it! 😄
