Officially

I was never officially your's and you never officially mine, but our hearts belonged to each other, from the moment we locked eyes.

We denied it at first and fought what we felt, but love took hold and so we fell.

We told each other we loved one another, and swore to marry one day, but knowing our love was not for the now, we put our love in a box and stored it away.

But every now and then when the mood and timings right, when i see you out and you look perfect in the night, we open up our box of love and let its wings take flight.

We dance in its glory and bathe in its light, we spend the whole evening being hopelessly in love.

And then in the morning we put back our love, back in the box for another day.

Marked for the future, when we can be, once and for all officially.
