Little Johnny's playing
All around the house
Loud as a battalion
Quiet as a mouse
In his room with Lego
Building knobbly towers
So much joy, this Danish toy
Will keep there for hours
He's got all the Action Men
He's got Dinky cars
He has got an Etch-A-Sketch
He draws lines and bars
There's Corgi and there's Matchbox
And there's Scalextric too
Johnny's laid an awesome track
That runs around the loo
All these olden toys will keep him
Busy day and night
No Playstation, DS or X-Box
Anywhere in sight
And he'll play in the garden
But not for long you see
Johnny's heard his mummy calling
'Johnny, time for tea!'
Now Johnny's all grown up and
Married, got kids of his own
And if they can't get Wi-Fi
All they'll do is moan
Looks back, wistfully, and thinks
Of the games he used to play
If he only had the hindsight
Not to throw them all away...
