The striped bear,
Worn from hugs.
Now he lies there,
Discarded in between rugs.
The dog eared book,
Read, re read and read.
Food stains all over,
From reading when fed.
The faded rocking horse,
Sat on once so much.
Long since last moved,
Rocked, sat on, touched.
That t-shirt covered in holes,
Worn everyday.
Stinks of overuse,
Never to be thrown away.
But that was back in the day,
When I was oh-so young.
Now I can't do anything-
Not even stick out my tongue.
