Dear friend I have failed you again,
In the deep the dark settles in,
And the blood spilt from your wrists,
I can't help but notice this.
That you're dying deep inside,
Your screaming of a darker kind,
I promised salvation and love,
But all that's left is flowing blood.
Now I see as the rain falls,
I wonder did I listen at all,
Your weakened heart can't take anymore,
My life, your life both destroyed.
On this day the dark clouds overhead,
They whisper your name, dead,
Silent jestures to the world above,
All at fault, no life, no love.
