The Doctor Came

The doctor came to see my dad
The news I hoped would make me glad
Instead a dread of all things bad
Without him here forever sad

The doctor came to see my mum
My fathers passing had left her numb
Broken hearted lost and done
She was the next to be gone

The doctor came to check my state
But for myself it was too late
A jar of pills had sealed my fate
And now I stand at heavens gate

The doctor came to bow his head
Pay his respects to the dead
All the words left unsaid
Above we watch with wings out spread

Love will follow

I never thought about death as a good thing. The word itself has always sent chivers down my spine. Death. The worst thing that could ever happen to a person. Death. The point of no return.
