I pace around these same floors that pave your walking feet, covetous, for a hint of your scent. And once before, we held hands in these very corridors. You could never leave my heart though, never thoroughly. There were lines and fragments in which if we thought or recollected hard enough, would have made us saints and patriots of these momentary sanctum. Even now, we coil ourselves around each other and we elevate these feelings into an investment for which we then promised to ourselves was for a lifetime. Of course, the universe can only explain itself so much without the twisting lines of event. Since the start, your dust brown eyes could only clear the misery that lived in me for years because at that instant, I was fortunate enough to be saved by love—yours.
