Communication was in a lockdown
Smiles replaced by that of a frown
We knew what we wanted to say
Only pride stood stubbornly in our way

Your feedback helps misslittleDHP understand what's working
Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.
The Winter between us Becomes a strain Sighs like the west wind, Cool tears like rain. The time's right for peace now, For forgiveness to bud On the soft boughs of lips... To rekindle warm blood.
I used to be quite lonely. In a world of constant pain. I didn't think it would be possible. To even find love again. But when you can along. You proved that I was wrong. You helped me see the light.
Take a bright but lonely star and put it gently in your pocket. Take a piece of clear blue sky and keep it safe within a locket. Take a freshly broken heart, gather its pieces, make them warm.
Still my thoughts in your arms. Wrapped up with you, I feel calm. Put to rest all my heart ache. Easily you help me to escape. Troubles of the daily rat race. Everything falls back into place.
