I knew my Friday night was doomed
As the cloud of illness loomed
My little girl acts 18 but only 8
Was very quiet and in a state
She'd not been well all day long
A mothers instinct it is strong
I intended on a chilled out night
But sickness thought 'yeah right'
I'd had a great day, got myself a treat
Some funky shoes and a book to read
The third instalment of Mr Grey
So I could write part 2 of 'Fifty Shades of Wahey'
But oh no my daughter had other plans
Decides to throw up all over her hands
The sofa, her nightie and the floor
I'll write it down if I think of more
I'd just gave her some medicine too
That didn't just come back up...it flew
I asked her did she feel sick at all?
She said no as I walked to the door
Then I hear that horrible gurgly sound
Vomit was there to greet me I found
So tonight's really not been a hoot
With an 8 year old daughter who can shoot puke

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.

Oh no! My youngest is 42 but I still remember vividly how you make plans but a sick child scuppers them. I hope she is better soon and you can get back to Mr Grey! 😻
@crowncottage it always happens...I try not to make plans now...but I was soooo looking forward to my night with mr Grey...will def do it tomoz now...as my ankle is killing me now too...just going to take some ibuprofen before bed...mwah for the thoughts lovely lady...wish Tom well for me won't you?
@misslittleDHP yes I will. He had a slight stroke but hopefully he will fully recover, he's a tough old thing. It might curb his liquid excesses though, I hope so! ☺
