Untitled #Seasons

Winter
Approaches
At a slow pace
Until floosh!
All of a sudden
Here.
Happy
To see you, no matter what you desire.

Spring plays the cards
Always too early
Vanishing too quickly
Upon seeing the mistake

But Summer,
Summer takes the lead
All hot days and endless skies and hakuna matata but no dice, no dice, because there's still a world that needs to churn on and the boats can only take you away from shore
Not the lake.

Autumn, the dear,
Gives and takes in spades
Beauty for crispness
Harvests for habits
Winter's friend,
Summer's heir
Willing to be the bridge
Between the two
So that they may thrive
From sacrifice.

And again and again,
Like the sun and the moon
Barely touching
Barely crossing
Still loyal to the end
Rhythm waiting on when.

Yo. Me? I'm a professional Metaphor Creator - aka taking two things and sticking them together with determination and lots of glue to make a sandwich. (That's pretty much how I write, too. But hey, sandwiches are great, aren't they? Even if you have to look at the base idea of it.) Also known as a Thinker, Dreamer, Sleeper, and/or TalksTooMucher.
