Like silver ripples
on a golden lake,
Or the crumble of
a choccie flake,
My mind may
think too much,
Though my body,
Surrenders to a touch,
I promise myself, just me,
I'd open my heart a bit,
Just to see, perhaps,
Like a leaf falling
from a tree,
I'd lose the reins
on the stallion winds,
Dance again in
monsoon rains,
Live, breathe under
a thundering waterfall,
Believe in life, and love,
To rejoice in being small,
Because beauty is hidden,
Within plain view,
Diamonds within charcoal,
And rainbows in fresh dew,
Watch mountains reform,
And autumn light up
in the inferno of dawn,
Where spirits gather
Under the stars soft glow,
I promise to swim,
And be carried on the flow.
