Ripping apart the dictionary,
And folding wrong corners,
The alien comes in howling,
Like extradited foreigners,
A jumble of abandoned emotion,
Clattering inside my weary head,
Like smartie-fuelled five year olds,
Discovering a brand new hotel bed,
The baseman throws a curve ball,
And cats climb the walls,
Something is breaking,
Like old paint flaking,
I'm left waiting for this call,
Knowing my friend,
I wasn't there to stop your fall.
