clears throat, stands my name is Nicola, and I'm a personality.
(sorry - I'll get on with it now)...
Who am I?
Well, drat!
What a question!
What a rat!
I love all animals, I really do,
Soon I'm off to work at the zoo,
In three years I'll be a vet!
Trouble is, I always lose a bet,
I am a veggie through and through,
But not the annoying sort, cause that won't do,
Perhaps I spend too much time with poo...
I wrote a book a long time ago, it's somewhere about,
Because the library ran out,
My spelling is rather shocking,
Without autocorrect you'd be mocking,
I love to watch movies with friends,
It's special time that I hope never ends,
But not ones with zombies,
Only ones with donkeys,
Give me Disney and comics,
Cartoons and sonnets,
Though I liked 'Cabin in the Woods',
Perhaps because of the unicorn, that's always good.
I'm a romantic but don't do mush,
Can't love, or perhaps love too much,
I'm an archer, yes, bow and arrow,
It helps keep my mind on the straight and narrow,
A swimmer too,
Always love the deep blue,
The seaside is my second home,
I'm an avid user of Google Chrome,
I don't get drunk but a like a drink,
You'll never see me on an evil ice rink,
I have a bat detector,
And I'm quite the collector,
Far too many books,
Bring more home, Mum gives me looks,
A Kindle is one of my favourite gadgets,
My Dad's a pilot, flies around in jets,
Two little half-brothers relatively cute,
(probably be better if they were mute?)
My other brother all grown up,
Soon he'll be off to the pub.
I talk a lot about animals,
Not so much about cannibals...
Mythical creatures are real to me,
Cause stories make them as alive as they can be,
Dragons are, of course, ranked top,
My love for them will never stop,
I travel as much as I can,
Been to many foreign lands,
Seen wild elephants in Ghana,
Been to Iceland (saw Santa!),
And Thailand was full of spirits,
I have so much fun working my friends into hysterics,
I talk to people on the tube,
But people just think I'm rude,
Laughing is a particular hobby,
And I long to get my very own doggie,
I wrote "I Know Who Created God",
It was something that gave my mind a big prod,
But I take comfort in knowing life is all there is,
It gives each day a bit of zesty fizz,
I don't believe in heaven or hell,
That's probably just as well,
I love to live in my mind and daydream,
Oh, and I have an unhealthy obsession for ice-cream.
But that's just a peak into my world,
The one that started when wings unfurled,
I know there is always more of me inside,
To find one day and hold with pride.
