You tried to give your all to me
Wiping away my tears as I cry
No matter what, I'll never be
Good enough for you

If I was smart I'd take your hand,
And stay with you forever
But alas I'll keep to myself and
Just stay melancholy

I finally see a light
After the long and endless night
It's you trying to save me from this,
But I just can't admit it

Stubborn as always, I turn away
And push you far from me
But I know deep down in my heart,
That's not what I want to do

In my mind surrendering,
Is definitely not an option
So I'll just stick to myself
And remain melancholy
