Ive been a lot of places
In my life
But nowhere have I seen
The pain and the strife
I have seen Niagara
Fall from her eyes
But all those million droplets
They shatter just like ice
Aurora Borealis
I have seen the northern light
Radiating from her body
Now she can't shine bright
I have seen the great wall
She builds round her heart
Because of you now
She is back to the start
Ive been a lot of places
In my life
I saw you tear her apart
Cut her like a knife
I have seen the glaciers
They aren't the only things that melt
You destroyed the happiness
That she once had felt
I have seen the mountains
She has tried to move
Been by her side constantly
To comfort and to soothe
I have seen the Eiffel tower
She stands with elegant height
Now I'm picking her up off the floor
Its not a pretty sight
Ive been a lot of places
In my life
I saw you promise her that
One day she will be your wife
I have seen the statue
Of liberty she once had
She used to be, full of freedom
Now all she is is sad
I have seen the colosseum
All around her crumbled
She tries to keep her head up high
But you tripped her and she stumbled
I have seen the lost city
For she walks it every day
Nothing to her is real anymore
You took her life away
I've been a lot of places
I've seen a lot of things
In this world
But never have I seen the emptiness
The soul you drained
From this broken girl
