Dunker

Back when I was little,
Quite a while ago:
I sometimes got upset you see,
Tears would often flow.

My mum had only one little cure,
My sad days, they were few.
She'd sit me down, a glass and plate,
And serve Oreos, just a few!

And each time I dunked them in my milk
I'd feel back to myself.
They were my happiness redemption,
Though not great for my health!

So now when I have an Oreo,
Memories are brought back.
Of my childhood and my youth,
And all the fun we used to have.

The One Thing I Finished In Poetry Club

I began inside a living, breathing creature, bundled up with six others just like me. The first thing I can remember is not being able to see for days, but hearing, sniffing, moving, breathing.

Coffee Table Stage

The sunset shone a reddish gold. Upon two girls, just eight years old. They twirled and spun, they sang and danced. Lost within a youthful trance. A coffee table was their stage.
