As the thunder crashes in the sky,
The clouds fight against one another,
I feel our moods are just the same, broken hearts that can't recover.
You did this to me, no question about that,
My heart's shredded beyond repair,
And as I sit and gaze outside I know you did it without a care.
The rain drops scratch my window pane,
To match my tears that flow,
The day I met you the sun came through, all those years ago.
And now, I struggle to remember the good,
You've scarred me with your hurt,
At one point both our hearts did soar,
Now mine lies in the dirt.
So seeing the rain come down today,
Doesn't make me cross or blue,
It makes glad I'm not the only one who is hurting over you.
