Depression

What is it, really?

A state of mind?

Or an emotion?

Or does it really matter?

Because either way, you're stuck. You can't fight the depression. You're rendered useless; it's too powerful. And just when you think you're finally out of it, like quicksand, it pulls you in.

And once again, you're stuck.

You think that if you've hit rock bottom, life can only get better?

You're wrong.

The floor beneath your feet can cave in. And you can fall ten more stories deep.

And how do you even know if you're depressed?

You're sad. You cry a lot.

But you don't know if you're depressed or not until you don't know why you're sad.

Wake Up.

You know when you wake up, and you have that moment where for just a second, everything's perfect. There's no lingering questions on you're mind or deep regrets.
